Pixels supports local author to print award-winning book

As Guyana continues its charge to become a modern country, it is the recognition that businesses will have to step up to the wicket and deliver on its commitment to play its role in giving back to society.

Pixels Guyana Inc. is excited and proud to once again play its role in not only talking the talk, but ensuring it fulfills its social mandate to the people of Guyana.

For decades now, our arts and artistes have been largely left to battle for survival.

As a country, there must be a recognition that development of our economy and infrastructure will have to go hand-in-hand with the development of its arts and culture.

Team Pixels has taken note of the priority that the Government of Guyana, under President Irfaan Ali, has placed to the development of “One Guyana”.

As such, we are more than happy to assist author, Michael Jordan, in the publication of his book, “The Girl In The Pleated Skirt”.

Mr. Jordan, whose other book, “Kamarang” is a must-read, mesmerizing look into folklore, albeit fiction, is no stranger to the media world, having captivated us with his “Murder and Mystery” series of weekly articles in Kaieteur News for years as well as his deeply insightful, investigative pieces.

Our financial assistance is to make copies of “The Girl In Pleated Skirt” available in bookstores locally.

Pixels Guyana Inc. has been lending support quietly to social initiatives which have profound, lasting impact countrywide, including using its LED screens on the overpasses on the East Bank Demerara, to sensitise our people about care on our roadways; domestic violence; bridge openings and crime.

Pixels Guyana Inc. is extremely proud to be the first company in Guyana and in this region to install a network of traffic cameras for our people to view traffic in choke points along the East Bank, East Coast and West Demerara areas.

These cameras, used by thousands of commuters for free daily, have proven a critical tool for our people who are desirous of planning when to travel to avoid congestion.

We are proud to partner with both the Government of Guyana and private sector companies in continuously lifting this country.

May God continue to bless Guyana.
